What "featured" means

Being featured on Indie Music India means an independent artist showed up in something we publish because the work earned it, not because anyone paid for placement. That might be the Radar catching a track as it started to move, a mention in one of our scene guides, a spot in a reviewer or playlist roundup, or a project we worked on directly through the programme.

We do not sell features, and we never will. The badge is worth something precisely because it cannot be bought. When a booker, a label, or a listener sees it on your page, it reads as a small, honest signal that someone who pays attention to Indian independent music thought your work was worth pointing at.

How we choose who to feature

There is no submission fee and no waitlist. The Radar surfaces rising artists from streaming and social data every day, our guides cover cities and scenes as we write them, and the programme takes on a few artists at a time. If your music is out and moving, you may already be in our data. The surest way to get on our radar is the unglamorous one: keep releasing, get your music into the reviewer and playlist circuit, and play live. We watch what rises.
